Day of Fun Part Deux

The second part of our day of fun involved a trip to uni for a short meeting with Matt in order to check our idea for the printing of our beer mats. With the idea in place and Matt's approval to spur us on, we headed to the Entertainer for a slinky and Celia's vintage in Canning Circus. We found two brilliant pieces in the form of a vintage bow tie and handkerchief. Unfortunately that is all that can be said on the subject, but all will be revealed in due course...

Day of Fun

One of the promotional ideas involves what we have coined the 'tramshion show', involving a mini fashion show on tram. Now at the implementation stage of the project, we have the task of deciding when, where and for how long the show should last. Thus, we set about going into town in order to determine who is around. We caught the half past twelve tram and were pleased with the numbers of people on at that time. As is nicely demonstrated by the fourth of the five images below, the tram was filled with a fair amount of commuters whilst leaving enough space for walking through the crowds. This tram research is to be continued...

Progress!

We had a really useful tutorial today with our new tutor for stage two of the report; implemetation stage. Martin, our new tutor, is from within industry and has given us some great ideas and elements to think about. Furthermore, Martin has promised to try and put us in contact with Q Pr agency and others in order for us to (hopefully) be able to get hold of some advice/pr strategy.

We spent the afternoon getting back into things and brainstorming new and exciting ideas for promotion. Tomorrow is an exciting day for us; we are heading to the tram to figure out when would be best to hold our 'tramshion' show (more to be explained tomorrow) and maybe experimenting with our funny ideas for free promotion. Photos to come tomorrow!

The girls are back today which means plenty of updates this week! We have confirmed Escucha for the 27th April (Wednesday) so get the date in your diary!!!! In the mean time, below is the current progress towards the Enliven logo. Our favourite is the first one, and they are all courtesy of my good friend Alex Fowkes on graphic design, who has been amazing and whipped up these three lovelies.

Busy Busy Busy!

So since our win (which we still cannot get over!) we have been constantly busy trying to get the ball rolling and start getting the whole thing together. Not to mention doing this alongside getting the first 5,000 words of our dissertations in. First thing was the venue. Pitcher and Piano was our first port of call as it is an absolutely stunning venue and the perfect shape for all our ambitions with this event. Unfortunately it hasn't worked out, and having considered other venues such as the Nottingham COntemporary, we have decided to finally go with Escucha, a smaller but well known venue in Nottingham, with a beautiful bar downstairs called Minus One. Pictures enclosed below. We cannot wait to see what amazing things we can do with this place. Thanks Jen and Alex.
