So since our win (which we still cannot get over!) we have been constantly busy trying to get the ball rolling and start getting the whole thing together. Not to mention doing this alongside getting the first 5,000 words of our dissertations in. First thing was the venue. Pitcher and Piano was our first port of call as it is an absolutely stunning venue and the perfect shape for all our ambitions with this event. Unfortunately it hasn't worked out, and having considered other venues such as the Nottingham COntemporary, we have decided to finally go with Escucha, a smaller but well known venue in Nottingham, with a beautiful bar downstairs called Minus One.
